A full time Project Management and Implementation Team (PMIT) comprising NIC staff under deputation and external human resource hired for the duration of the project under technical assistance provision and will be responsible for the implementation of the project. This will avoid dual role of NIC deputed staff, and focused implementation and administrative and financial management of the project. The National Project Director will be delegated authority from NIC to disburse funds and approve expenditure incurred for the implementation project activities. The Project Manager (PM )- recruited externally will be responsible for the day to day implementation of the project. The PM will report to NPD for project activities. The PMIT will carry out project activities under the direct supervision of NPD. The NPD shall report to and seek guidance from the Secretary of NIC.

Ms. Geeta Kumari Homegain, National Project Director

Ms. Geeta Kumari Homegain (Joint Secretary of NIC) is the National Project Director. NPD is responsible to oversee the overall implementation of the project. NPD shall be responsible to secretary. NPD shall coordinate between the Secretary and PMIT. NPD shall report to and seek advice and guidance from Secretary.

Mr. Mohan Raj Sharma, Project Manager

Mr. Mohan Raj Sharma has more than 3 decades experiences in the development field of Nepal and worked with several national and international organizations as a development expert. He is Masters in Business Administration and Post Graduated in Regional Planning. Mr. Sharma has worked more than decades in the area of good governance, democracy and decentralization sector as an expert. Similarly he has high level expertise on planning tools and techniques and worked with UNDP Nepal as a Senior Planning Adviser. Mr. Sharma has also worked as a Monitoring Consultant in the DfID/ESP –Nepal. He is well acquainted about the importance of information because of his experiences to work more than 2 years (2004 to 2006) in the UN Mission in Liberia as a PIO (Public Information Officer) and implemented several outreach activities with multiple international agencies. Mr. Sharma has joined SUCHANA-II Project in mid of December 2016 as a Project Manager. He is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of the project. He has to also ensure consistency with project strategy, commitments and goals.

Mr. Santosh Timsina, IT Specialist

Mr. Santosh Timsina has more than 10 years of experience in IT field. He is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and upgradation of NIC systems. He is also responsible to provide training to public officials on management information system. He can be reached at santosh.timsina@gmail.com

 

Ms. Menuka Acharya (Paudel), Finance and Administration Officer

Ms. Menuka Acharya brings in more than 8 years of experience to SUCHANA-II. She has previously worked with UNDP NEX project, OXFAM Nepal funded project with Women Skills Creation Center (Makwanpur), PLAN funded projects with Community Welfare Center (Rautahat) and Association of Youth Organization (AYON).  She is responsible for the overall finance and administration of SUCHANA-II. Her expertise includes advance skill and knowledge of handling different accounting software and project budgeting. Ms Acharya holds Master in Business Studies from Tribhuwan University.

Mr. Ghamber Bdr. Nepali, M&E Officer

Mr.Ghamber Bdr. Nepali is responsible for designing Monitoring and Evaluation systems and tools and its implementation thorough Suchana project  at National Information Commission. Mr. Nepali has completed Masters’ Degree in Political Science from Tribhuvan University. He has nearly 10 years experiences on research, monitoring & evaluation, development and media sector of Nepal. He worked at Plan International Nepal as an Emergency Response Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator before joining at NIC.

 

 

 

Mr. Sandip Khatri, Project Associate

Mr Khatri is student of Master in Development Studies with more than 3 years of work experience in the development field. His main responsibilities are project support and implementation. He had been working at PHASE Nepal as Program and administrative assistant before joining at NIC.

Ms. Bishnu Maya Tamang, Office Assistant

Ms. Bishnu Maya Tamang has been associated since SUCHANA-I and has continued in SUCHANA-II. Ms. Tamang is assigned with the responsibility to safeguard equipment, files, documents and supplies for official purposes, assist project team in conducting meeting and programs. She also maintains supplies by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipate requirements, place and expedite orders, deliver supplies to work stations. Ms. Tamang holds higher secondary education (+2) in management from Vishwo Niketan College.
